Why'd your sims get divorced, if I can ask?

This is gonna be a long story but...
My sim was born and raised in a small cottage in Windenburg, with no siblings. When her parents passed she thought it might be a good idea to start dating so she wouldn’t be lonely. So she went on a blind date and the boy ended up being Dirk Dreamer who was super famous and had a lot of money. She immediately loved him for those reasons alone so once they had enough romance & friendship they got married. They had three kids together that she didn’t want, but she just stayed with him for the money and fame. Once they were finished having kids together he divorced her because he realized that he was being used. He left her a single mom of three as a “punishment” for using him. ?

Sorry I should’ve but that as an option but I guess I assumed most people either have 1 perfect marriage or 2 or 3 failed ones ?

I marry my sims when they want to marry, it really depends; it could go any way. :O
However the recent wedding I arranged for my sims was during a thunderstorm, was amusing to watch, sadly no one died to lightning. LUL!

I usually make my sims marry the 2nd person they date! Sometimes the 1st person.

Typically one marriage at a time. I'm a vanilla player. Every once in awhile I will spice up the game play and have them have an affair or get divorced and so on.

Most of my sims marry as young adults and stay together. I've had a few divorces over the sim-years I've played... but very few. I can think of four divorces. One poor sim -- who liked to hit the juice a bit -- was divorced twice. Another married a second time after her husband died, but it didn't work out. A third happened only recently, so no idea how that story will turn out. A fourth very recent divorce seems to have been the right thing for the couple. He's already remarried and is truly happy. His ex-wife has also found her true love and is hoping for a proposal very soon.

Most of my sims have 1 marriage, but some just live together or date. I haven’t had an actual divorce yet, but I had one couple that had a child and then broke up.

I've never had a wedding before :D.
Yes I play since release of TS4 :#.
Somehow I did'nt have the perfect couple so far and the perfect location.

I don't have my sims divorce but I've had a few cheating sims and I regard that as a fail. They end up living together but not liking each other.

Usually my sims only get married once. But I have had a few divorces and also have had sims that had kids with their boyfriends but never got married.
