- peanutsinspace6 years agoNew SpectatorMy main Sim hasn't been married yet so I voted no but in the premades that I play, they're all still going strong. For now.
- Normally one marriage. I don't marry Sims if I don't want them to be together forever.
Breakups do happen with couples, though.
The only times I have multiple marriages is with vampires, or long lived Sims when husbands and wives pass away and they find somebody new. - simsimsere6 years agoSeasoned AceI have many sims who never marry but for those who do it's usually one marriage. Still they could have had several serious relationships, I'm just lazy marrying them. Several marriages is definitely something I should try out. I play rotationally and like having a variety of things but never tried two or more marriages!
- linzstar6 years agoRising VeteranI used to be that one marriage happily ever after type but I started doing things more "realistically" as you can say. It really depends on the save Im playing on and the sim. Sometimes my sims cheat and get caught and then get divorced to run off with their new love who happens to be crazy or something. Haha I like to mix it up. My one sim girl has been married three times now. Hopefully third times a charm. ;)
- Mix: in my current household, I have one family where the parents divorced and one remarried. The other household I plan to have stay married all the way through.
- PurrfectMediocre6 years agoSeasoned AceI don't really have a standard couple in my game. Everyone has their own story, so it is pretty evenly distributed between single, living together, married, divorced, widowed, etc.
- I play rotationally so I adapt to what suits the sims personality at the time. I also play in a ts2 to ts4 save so several families already have marital troubles.
Most have 1, some get divorced and get a new partner but don't marry again.
A good amount have married twice, after divorcing their partner with if the relationship is terrible.
A small amount have/will marry 3 times, such as Dina Caliente (Micheal Bachelor widowed her, Mortimer left her at the altar when Bella reappearebed, and Armand is nearing death so after that she'll look another rich spouse) "Sindocat;c-17088173" wrote:
To qualify my answer, it's between 0 and 1.
Sims that I am playing as promiscuous man-tramps don't marry - there is just too much fallout from serial infidelity.
If I have a couple that is a COUPLE, they marry, and stay that way. Worst they'll do is embarrass their children with public displays of affection.
That's sort of the case with me especially if I've got a particular task. Most of my Sims do marry and have children (mostly in that order) because I like to see how the kids turn out genetically, the whole "circle of life" bit.- My sim-self's Great Grandmother married and widowed 3 times.
another couple they married and divorced, Governor Michael was devious in his efforts to get his wife pregnant, hoping having kids would "Settle her down." He was wrong, When Ursula found out, she divorced her husband and married herself to her, now successful 5-Star Restaurant.
All the other marriages, were once, but not happily ever after.
My Sim's parents have a complex history Let's just say, when you marry a Detective, there are risks and tragedies.
Other marriages are for love, others follow the old "Business transaction" method, land, wealth. - My sims usually get married two or three times. In my 15 years of playing Sims I think I have only had ONE couple stay married throughout their lives. Maybe it's because my parents are divorced, and my mom has been married three times - so it's a bit more "normal" for me? I'm not sure. My main sim (he's been in Sims 2, Sims 3 and Sims 4) got married five times in Sims 2, five times in Sims 3 and twice (so far) in Sims 4. He's an exception, though. Nearly 100% of my Create-a-Sim sims are married twice.
