Lot's of multi-ethnic familes in my sims universe, reminds me a lot of where I grew up and where I live today (and something noticeably missing from the places I lived between). LGBT is tough for me... I really wish sims came with a sexual orientation defined in CAS for made sims and defined at birth for born sims - odds roughly what we have in real life, maybe a bit more gay/bi just because the 180 sim limit makes it a smallish universe.
I'd also like them to be able to come out - though I'm not sure I'd want to see negative responses as there's enough of that in real life for the LGBT community to deal with - but I would like my LGBT sims to be able to find people to date more easily (I have a male teen right now that's bi, and fairly amorous but it's tough finding him another teen boy to dig - finally found one but it's still really hard). Also I think it'd be cool to see parents/siblings/friends reassuring their kids that it really will be ok. I know it almost certainly won't happen, but I'd be so happy if it did.
Off the topic but there are other "free" traits I wish I could give my sims to define their life choices -
vegetarian/vegan/carnivore/omnivore: Changeable at will. Basically I just want it to affect the sim's auto food choices as it's too tedious to regulate this in all but single sim instance. One of my current sims only makes vegetarian food, but I allow him to eat anything if he grabs it himself out of the fridge.
lactose intolerance: defined at birth or in CAS at creation
handedness: this apparently is a trait, I just wish we could define it for CAS made sims.
attractions: basically a set of 2 or 3 traits the sim finds appealing in others, can be their own traits, but can also be things they admire, even if they don't possess it themselves, basically like in sims 2. I think I'd want these CAS definable and allow the player to switch them out as desired.
turnoffs: the same as attractions but the other way around.
phobias: not sure exactly which ones, and I think it should be possible, probably even common for sims to have none (I'm biased here as I suffer from only one known phobia, and it's rare: cibophobia - fear of food, it's gotten better with years of practice, and my addiction to spicy helps, but it's still there).
