Like many things in the game, there's no rhyme or reason to it. I had a sim once who won it on his first acting gig, EVER; level 2 acting. I think you just get points when you do the gig, and if you get lucky and get high enough points, you win.
Hm. Well, that's not terribly encouraging. Deaths are random, too. Took me ages in Sims3 before I had one of my Sims (in the active household) have a rather untimely death. As for having the Sim I wanted abducted, the closest I ever got in Sims3 was his Bot being constantly abducted. I kid you not. The aliens must have been stealing the technology, or something … :open_mouth:

Does it increase the chances of getting that all too-coveted Accolade? If so, has your Sim been a singer at the same time? I'm seriously contemplating another play strategy. I've had my Rock Star (courtesy of RTF) write lyrics, cut albums, make tracks for distribution. He's a full Global Superstar (& Superstar via RTF). Still, no nomination. I am getting frazzled. I was wondering if he could possibly enter the Entertainment Career, whilst he still plays concerts and if that would boost his odds of that nomination and possible win?
What are your thoughts? Please, and thank you, in advance.
Honestly just show up to the awards ceremony your sim will probably get an award after you go a few times.
My sim goes without being nominated and ends up winning 2 out of the 3 times
I will continue to have him go to the Accolades, if nothing more than to be a 'seat filler'. You do realize that have people who fill a seat while the recipient goes to collect their Oscar, right? Just to make the audience appear full whenever the camera pans it. Hollyweird Magic, always. LOL
