How many of you have turned Magnolia Promenade into residential

My Magnolia Promenade has one residential lot, a community garden, a breakfast diner and a cafe. I'm thinking of replacing the residential lot with something else, but don't really know what at this point.

I did that once, because the one residential lot had terrible lag. I was hoping that if my Sim lived on another lot, and I got rid of all the retail lots, it would help, but it didn't. I've since got a new computer and that mostly solved the lag problem - I haven't tried Magnolia Promenade since then, however.
