- SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranSome of my Singles end up with the one. Some play the field. Some become Black Widows with a child or twins from the 5th husband. Some just remain single & free.
- PhantasmKissNew SpectatorI choose "Other."
My Sims's romance goes to either extreme. They usually have a spouse they stay with forever, but otherwise, they never WooHoo the same Sim twice. Depends on my story. or if I feel like a story at all. - MoonlightGrahamNew Scout

@phantasmkiss In retrospect, I should have created an "Other" options. Some of the most interesting replies fall into that category.
Thank you, everyone, for voting and commenting. I'm looking forward to reading even more intriguing responses! - InuMiroLoverNew SpectatorReally it depends on the sim and their story. I have sims that stick with one partner and one partner only, while I have other sims that have a literal laundry list of partners. On average though, my sims will have between 1 and 3 serious romantic partners their entire lifetime. Flings and one night stands though...are a different story.
- Kimmer_oneRising TravelerI answered one, because that's how it usually is, but I have several Sims that are serial romantics and have a lot of lovers. Then I have Sims that have affairs, for example my not so berry challenge mint Sim, she's married with a male Sim but she's bi and she's also obsessed with vampires. Lilith Vatore is her co-worker and they have an affair, they hook up mostly at work in the science lab. Her husband Joaquin Le Chien doesn't know about it and that's how it's going to stay, hopefully. She loves Joaquin, but her obsession for Lilith is just physical.
- Most of the time, I find a good partner for them during the teen stage.
- SnaveXsRising AdventurerI would say 1- 2 partners. Most of my sims have stayed with the same person.
- IsharellNew SpectatorIt really varies by the sim. I have one guy who I swear is always going to be true to his One - his computer. He and his computer are inseparable and I got tired of trying to pair him off with another sim. Now he lives in limbo, but I see him often anyway, as a random townie. In general, I'll let them chat with a few people before deciding who they are going to marry.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceI have a tendency to not only create the Sims I play, but also their potential spouses. In one iteration of my Celebrity Sim's life, I created five female Sims for him to choose from. Getting the them to 'bump' into each other was problematic, at best. But, eventually he did meet them. One behaved very badly when his fans fawned all over him, so she was almost ruled out. Erik doesn't like it when his girlfriend beats up a fan for asking for an autograph. She was a very selfish Sim in that when he was with her, nobody else existed. She made that very clear. In the end, he called off the wedding suggesting it was her idea to help her 'save face'. He just couldn't do it. It made for some fun, but I would much rather my Sims recognize the Sim they are with isn't right for them before they reach the wedding arch, rather than to divorce afterward.
- SharoooniaNew SpectatorMy sims tend to have only one or two, I'm not much for causing drama unless it's something my sims want which is almost never in the Sims 4.
