How many sims can you handle at once in a household?

I have noticed recently when playin I can maybe only handle 3 or 4 at a time. I have tried to play a full household and found it too chaotic trying to keep up with everyone's needs. I love big familie...

I can handle eight fairly well, or even more on occasion. But it did take me a fair bit to get used to playing more than one sim - when I first started playing S4, one sim was a challenge! No one died, but they sure weren't happy - and I've been playing since S1 lol.
