How many sims can you handle at once in a household?

I have noticed recently when playin I can maybe only handle 3 or 4 at a time. I have tried to play a full household and found it too chaotic trying to keep up with everyone's needs. I love big familie...

I usually only play with one or two, but the maximum I've played while still having fun would be five or six. Usually when it gets passed that I feel like it's more of a chore than a game and I wind up killing some folks. Then again, I wind up killing no matter what...oops.
