I like having full houses. My secret is probably the fact that in my "story" saves i use custom life span (thanks to mccc) that is alot longer than the one in game. That gives me more time with my sims and there for i don't feel rushed with compliting aspirations or getting promotions. I can focus more on the stories and so on.
For challenges my focus is more on compliting the challenge and not the stories behind the sims or situations so those saves have a complitely different feel and they get pretty chaotic. But i actually enjoy that too :D
Also i play autonomy on and i'm not a micromanager.
