How many sims can you handle at once in a household?

I said eight, but it honestly depends. You see, I usually start out with one two young adults, depending on story, but I play legacies. Generally, by the time they are adults and have kids, they are maxed out and have tons of reward traits. So I really don’t have to do much with them.
