- LatinaBunny7 years agoSeasoned AceI can handle 8 (as long as the house is furnished ahead of time and have enough money with motherlode). I just don’t usually have 8 sims. Most of my households are 3-4 and maybe up to 6 at most.
But I can technically handle 8. I just have to be less of a perfectionist with the potential chaos of a bigger family, and keep track of or organize the schedules for those bigger families. The good thing is that big families do provide challenges and keep me busy, lol.
One of the biggest families I rotate to has six toddler and one aunt (and planning a potential boyfriend for her), and with an occasional nanny, and all the toddlers managed to get potty trained and fed and walking in the end.
Obviously, in that toddler-infested household, the auntie rarely has time to go out, but I’m planning to get the nanny to come by more often so she can get a break from the house. Like in real life, you just got to make time to go out for yourself and take care of yourself. We just can’t be too perfectionist and expect a perfect clean house when we come back, lol.
It’s just unfortunate that Sims 4 Sims can’t really finish their tasks when left at home, it seems. I know I can trust my Sims in Sims 3 much more to finish their tasks when my other sims are out and about. - They seem pretty capable of taking care of themselves with TS4. Just keep tabs on them, and intervene if needed. Otherwise just sit back and watch as they go on about their day.
- mlnov397 years agoSeasoned AceI can handle 7, but if some of those seven are toddlers it's much more difficult.
- GalaxySimsGirl7 years agoNew VeteranI can do 8 if it’s mostly vampires, apart from that six or 7
- Five is the maximum for normal gameplay, legacies usually have about 4 kids so about 6 is the max for legacies.
- Well, I can handle more than 8 in a house hold. But at default game defiantly 8. Typically have two pets and 6 sims from vampire, alien to human. I don't really do much of legacies since they never last past the second generation. Hehehe.

- Pegasyms7 years agoSeasoned AceI answered 5 -- but I just dealt with a family with 3 kids and it was exhausting - the mother who had a full-time job just couldn't keep her energy level up, her husband was a slob, so there were dishes and piles everywhere... I can do 5, but if they are younger than teen, it's work! I'm hitting the pause button all the time.
I think 3 is my perfect "chill" number. Enough to keep things interesting not so many to be overwhelmed. - My main family is composed of eight sims. They're all vampires, too. Can I handle it? Yes, barely. Is it fun? No, not really. :joy:
