Lately, every 5 minutes or so.
My game (no mods/cc) had been randomly crashing for no reason since the last update. It would play for like 60 seconds then crash, then it could go for an hour before doing it again.
Other than the crash that was always within the first five minutes, the next crash was always unpredictable, so I started saving every few minutes "just in case". Then I changed my graphics settings back to DirectX 9 (instead of 11) and so far (fingers crossed) the crashes have stopped (it's been two days, don't want to get over confident), but I still save every few minutes out of habit. 😊 It's become an automatic reflex now. Give my Sims some commands, Save. Repeat. And I always save before traveling, going into CAS, or going into BB, again "just in case." 😄
Do a game repair. I find that helps. I also make certain to do so right after a patch.
