I have a ton of saves, probably around 20-30. I have one for house building and one for the family world I built, and one for another story I built with sims in the city. I have so many because I want to just get in a save and worry about that sim/family and let the rest of the world around them do whatever. I have a save for each sim/family that is important to me in the story and I may want their story to be different in one save than the save I have for another sim connected to the story. I have different ideas for individual and family sims all the time so this is kind of my way of creating stories inside stories.
It can be exhausting though because every time I put a new sim or family in my saves I have to go around to all of them and update them with the new sim/family.
