How needed are mods for TS4 compared to other sims 4 games?/Your Favorite Mods (2019)

Well I personally have used mods/cc for every single game and I wouldn't play without them. I guess that could mean I need them but I like to think of them as enhancements and modifications to further my enjoyment of the game.

I do however think Sims 4 takes the cake for "stop doing that annoying thing" mods or "fix this bug" mods.
