How often do you play with PlantSims?

I thought the plant sims were a cute addition, but there are a couple of problems with them. I was planning to have a plant sim in my rotation but she wouldn't be plant sim when I'm playing my other households. So she would have to be only part time plant sim. It lead to me playing her as a normal sim instead. Another problem is the hair. I like that it changes from green to grey but the haircut is so boring. If they're using a regular sim hair then why not have all the haircuts available?

And they're more forgettable in this installment than any other. Always found plant sims to be one of the most boring and uninteresting occults and I definitely don't like fake plant sims either. I tend to forget they're a thing in this game.

Only played them via the event and they were sadly just not that interesting.

You don't have to cheat anymore... it's not easy but you can get them by having a level 10 gardener buy rare seeds... the beans are in those packs and the stump is accessible without cheats in Build/buy. Grow the tree and visit.. get the fruit ect..
They didn't make it a big deal when they changed it.

They’re like regular sims but more useless. Gardening tanks their water need so they can’t even do that well.

I've never played them and I'm not sure if I want to or not. I think maybe I would if there was already some present in my game. :D

I had two Runaway Teen Challenge games going on when the PlantSim Challenge started. The teens in both of those games completed the Challenge.

In one of the Runaway Teen games, Salim Benali and Caleb Vator had become secondary playable Sims and they were good friends with each other. I decided to have Salim, who has the Lazy trait, work on the Challenge too. Salim became a PlantSim which kept him energized for days. He started having whims to do things like go for a jog and work out at the gym, so I had him do those things. Salim completed the PlantSim Challenge and the Bodybuilder aspiration. His good friend Caleb also completed the Bodybuilder aspiration because he was at the gym whenever Salim went. So, I went with the "Thrice-ish" option - two runaway teens and Salim.

What is a plantsim?

Only twice. The first time was just checking things out, and the second time was when I really played one. I didn't care for how it was not it's own occult type creature like it was in the past. Now if EA ever overhauled them to where once they became one they would remain one unless the player did a certain thing to turn them human such as drinking a potion. Also if they didn't get pregnant but rather grew in the ground and had to be harvested to be born. Both Sims 2 and Sims 3 did a wonderful job with the plant sim, and I really wished that EA would do something to bring those type of plant sims back into Sims 4.

@Patrice A sadly temporary life state. You can cheat it by right clicking on a Sim and selecting "Turn into PlantSim."

I used PlantSims when I was trying to develop a season-themed challenge. Winter was represented by vampires, autumn by ghosts, summer by mermaids, and spring by Plant Sims. I got caught up in the grand war between Summer and Winter and kinda ignored the other two, though, so it never went anywhere. ^_^

I also use PlantSims in StrangerVille. Anyone who gets possessed becomes a Plant Sim, too. To be closer to Mother. :)

Generally I love occult sims, but I find TS4 plantsims forgettable. If they were updated I might be more interested in them, but personally I am more interested in a ghost update.

I did actually play with them in Sims 2. I wish the ones in Sims 4 were more like that. I would certainly like to play with them, but as a rotational player, they would not be plantsims by the time I got around my rotation. They need to be permanent and have better CAS options.
