Never heard of them, so never.
They are a base game life stage if you are lvl 10 gardening and collect all the beans and go into a tree or something like that. You become one for a sim work week and then your sim needs things like water and sun instead of food and sleep. If they don't get water they pass out until another sim comes and waters them lol
Ah, sounds like a lot of hassle to play a sim who sounds like more work than fun. xD Thanks for the info. ^^
Yw :). Lol oh and You can cheat to become one without the steps haha. And if you don't cheat once the tree is grown i believe any sim can use it or you can give them the fruit or whatever. You only need to do all the steps once, not per sim.
Maybe I'll try it once through cheats just to see what it's like. ;)- I played one during the challenge, interesting but not a true life state to me, but have no idea how to turn my sim into one now. I hated that giant magic tree.
- The fact that they're temporary is what kills it for me. I know there's mods to make it permanent, but with it lacking anything really unique that they could've/should've definitely had...
Back in Sims 3, I had a PlantSim that ended up marrying my Witch Sim and they were probably my favorite couple out of every single story and family I made. - Tried to use them, but like others have mentioned they are pretty useless.
Pros:
Being green
Cons:
Just a normal sim but with a thirst meter and a different diet preference
Not even gonna mention how annoying it is to become one, but hey atleast they ain't pee drinkers like in Sims 3. - MDianaSims6 years agoSeasoned AceI've only played a ts4 plantsim once. But I do have a family of green sims who love to garden and I view them as plantsim descendants. I may make them actual plantsims once they have a forbidden fruit tree in their garden. But it is annoying that it's not a permanent life state.
And it's also super annoying that kids and toddlers can't have green hair. - Scobren6 years agoLegendHonestly wish they were a permanent life stage and more like the Sims 2 ones that were a lot more fun to play with. I love my Sims 2 sprout toddlers I would grow by planting. I played with them a few times but gets sad when they turn back to normal.
- RememberJoy6 years agoSeasoned AceI have a plantsim in one of main saves that I've played for awhile now. I modded him to remain a plantsim and have customizable hair. I'm actually surprised the amount of detail they added to such a temporary lifestate.
They require sunlight to fill their hunger bars, and with seasons, they won't get it on cloudy days. On days like these they can still fill their hunger by absorbing the solar energy from havestable plants. This will set back the growth of the plant, but not the quality.
They also require water like mermaids instead of having a bladder function. Anything that will hydrate a mermaid will also hydrate a plantsim. I believe they also acquire the gardening skill faster, but I'm not 100% sure about this.
I'd love to see an update to this overlooked lifestate. At least to make them permanent and give them their own clothing and hairstyles. But maybe also give them some more unique gardening abilities like instantly maturing a plant at the price of their hunger bars going down or something like that. - LadyKyn6 years agoSeasoned Ace

You don't have to cheat anymore... it's not easy but you can get them by having a level 10 gardener buy rare seeds... the beans are in those packs and the stump is accessible without cheats in Build/buy. Grow the tree and visit.. get the fruit ect..
They didn't make it a big deal when they changed it.
Good to know, but I wish they were worth the effort. :#
The only benefit really is placing down the tree because I thought it looks whimsical and magic. Seeds are good decorate at least for a spellcaster??? - I think i had plant sim once when they released with ts4 but then i found out its not permanent and the sims can no longer cause their own spawn which was the funny point for me in past games soo i sort of forgot they even are there
I did love them in ts2 though so if they made it permanent state and fixed the stupidity up id be interested
