- SimplyJen6 years agoSeasoned AceThere's a sense of shame about using CC I've noticed for a few people. I have no shame. I've been using CC since the original and eventually added mods into the mix. My mods folder is never empty but I make sure to only keep things I'll use installed and trash the rest. It helps that I'm very picky about what I download.
My tip to those new to all of this is to keep things organized. Know what you have. It makes updating mods and removing things much easier. Over time you will make a habit of it. - I'm pretty strict with myself about CC lol. I have save files where I allow it and others where I don't and generally only use skin overlays and hair so that if it ever glitches, I don't have to redress all my sims, just select new hair.
- I'll use a couple mods here and there, but they're mainly just little tweaks. Honestly the only ones I have are: less vampire weaknesses, more holiday icons, less city living names, and 4 CAS columns. I don't use CC (that was for my Sims 2 days) but it's possible that I'll download a few maxis matches one day.
- oops, wrong thread. Nothing to see here.
- My favorites are a few Adult Mods. I'll leave google to your discernment.
I enjoy the Map Redesign Mod, there is a Creator out there who redesigned and colored the maps and it looks so much better than the originals
I don't think I could go back to default… This is everything: https://www.dershayan.de/fanart-maps
A lot of it is Add-ons and Liberated objects too, that work with the Packs, and Base game that add more Build/Buy content, and fit other room heights, Romantic garden, Vintage glamour, and Vampire Add-ons are my most used. - FriendlySimmers6 years agoSeasoned Acei am a cc addict and in term of mod i only use the mccc mod for sims4
- Over the years, I've used a few mods. Mainly MCC. I've stopped using some but I still have MCC. For some reason, it just makes the game much better. As for other CC? I've used a lot, but I've been thinking of uninstalling some "realistic" mods and use maxi match CC.
- HypsieOrigin6 years agoRising VeteranI use MCCC and a mod I cant mention here.
- Goth5836 years agoSeasoned AceI don't use CC so much, though I do use it. I tend to combine it with the Maxis stuff unless its a specific outfit like a wedding dress or a special occasion gown. I also don't use them on every sim. I download and use things for a reason and for specific sims. Now, mods I use all the time and refuse to play without them. Without mods I wouldn't play TS4 at all because the vanilla game puts me to sleep, literally I've fallen asleep before I started using mods. I enjoy small mods (like LittleMsSam's auto thermostat), the Explore Mod so my sims can actually go somewhere without me having to go if I'm controlling a particular sim or sims, and larger mods like MCCC (and others that cannot be mentioned) that help make the game feel more alive.
- I don't use CC, but there are many mods I consider essential. Honestly, without MCCC I would have given up on S4 a long time ago.
