wow. I guess that makes all our unis prestigious.
If you don't get high enough marks to get in, you have to go the long way, attend a senior school, do year 13, try again. Or attend TAFE, use it as a stepping stone. Or do a bridging course.
In Australia, technical and further education aka TAFE is like a cross between community college and trade school.
Each country has it's own way of doing things. For many of us, the way the US does things is very alien.
