- I want the option to commute and the option to live on campus. A world with dorms of course but also the ability to live at home and study in the Uni World. I also think it'd be cool for sims to be able to live amongst college campuses, like families living in college towns.

This would be nice but I still think it should be separate in the sense that the sims in school don't run into their family members while they are supposed to be "away" at school. As long as that doesn't happen then that would be great. I also hope they allow us to create dorms and ability to send sims home for holidays and summer break.- I think having 2 or 3 u is would be cool a Ivy League one a mid term one and a community college one also I would love a grad school.
- I voted how I did because the above two options didn't really fit what I think would be the best idea...
Personally I think having a neighborhood dedicated to Uni, like how City Living gave us SM for apartments, would be best. I think based off the structure of the game currently we won't have the ability to make our own dorms but lots will be specified as "dorm lots" like the apartment buildings in MS. - I want my sims to feel like they are “away” at college and it to feel separate from the rest of the worlds. If other random sims show up all the time at public lots that aren’t in uni it’s really going to break the immersion factor for me.
(currently it drives me nuts how often sims go from world to world as if they’re only blocks away from each other)
One thing I’d like to see changed though is the option for college sims to go home for a holiday or a weekend. - OneGrilledCheese7 years agoNew HotshotMaybe more like a vacation world. The "rent" is the tuition, and they live in dorms or frat/sorority houses instead of vacation houses. There are places that you can only reach when you're attenting/renting a dorm (like the jungle in JA), but you can always be invited out to public lots on campus. Maybe you rent a dorm per semester (and a semester is set amount of days which you can start at whichever point in the year or or at any age), so you can come home for christmas and then enroll again for the next semester, to continue leveling up your major. That seems like a good combination of everything. The completely closed off world for the entirety of your sims' university life doesn't seem to fit the Sims 4's style of having all worlds available in all saves. This way you just have to stay on campus for a certain amount of days at a time, with exclusive places to visit, like vacations work in TS4.
- I think I'd like it to be like the sims 2
- davina12217 years agoSeasoned AceI'd rather have something like the Get to Work where a college, a high school, and an elementary school is located with maybe a thrift store or pizza planet hangout where they can get food, play stand up video games, and also work there. The teacher profession in the different grades with a few new careers & advancement in the ones we have. :)
- ChadSims27 years agoRising RookieI'd prefer a new residential world with new lot types like University, dorms, fraternity/sorority houses the third option sounds horrible and I want nothing from Get to Work as it felt like a mini game closed off from the rest of the world I don't want that with University.
- Movotti7 years agoNew SpectatorI find the concept of going 'away' to uni, to be unusual. Only a few people go 'away' to uni here, and most of them are still in their home state when they do so.
Dormitories here are usually single rooms, and mostly just for international students, or out of town students, who haven't yet found friends to share-house with.
I recently moved form the major city in this state, it has 3 major universities, two of which have campuses in the city centre. The vast majority of students attending those campuses live within a 45 minute bus ride of their classes.
My preference for how the Uni world should work, is that it would be a separate world, your sims could live in that world, or they could commute from their home world daily for classes. I don't want to be locked into sending my sims 'away', as I'd like to be able to play the rest of their household without having to send everyone to uni."aprilrose;c-16595982" wrote:
But that would be unrealistic to me."gummybear0724;c-16595485" wrote:

Most people here go to Uni in their home city, most live at home during at least their first year of uni, they run into their family at breakfast.
