How to convince parents getting you Get Together for Christmas?

I know its been more than a long time since I've posted. But, that doesn't matter now. Let's talk Get Together! ;)

Sims 4 Get Together is coming out soon, December 8 I believe. I know for sure I won't be getting the game release night, but I really REALLY REALLY want Get Together! Christmas is basically my best bet because my birthday is in April and I'm broke from buying gifts for my family and friends.

I need some help on persuading my mom on getting me the game for Christmas. She doesn't necessarily like me playing games, unless they provide a positive message or teach you about educational stuff. I just need something convincing and I don't want that many presents this year.

To any help I can get I appreciate it :)

    > Maybe point out that there are a LOT worse games you could be playing. Sims is really about life and being responsible (I mean, to an extent, you have to pay those silly bills!). It's better to be playing a game like this for fun then playing a first person shooter or something that she'd prob not approve of LOL!

Like if she thinks it'll distract you from school, you can tell her you will make sure school work is always done before playing, and having fun activities (esp creative ones) is good for your brain. It needs to relax too ;)

If i try to discuss why she says,"don't put me on the spot no is no"
  • Tell her that Sims teaches you responsibilities and real life things. That's what i did when i asked my mom for sims games when i really wanted them and she didn't necessarily feel like buying me them
  • a helpful idea. i will have to try that. i have been dying to get city living ever since i got the sims.
  • Sims can teach time management -- you have a certain amount of time in a day, and during that time you have to fulfill your needs (eat/sleep/pee/shower), fulfill your responsibilities (work/study), build skills (either to help get a job promotion or just to learn something new) and maybe have a little fun. If you're not using money cheats it teaches money management as well. You might want your own treadmill instead of having to trek to the gym to work out, but you have to save up money to afford one.
