It actully more depends on the dog's personalty, their level of obdieance, how badly they need to go, and the weather. My one dog will go refuse to step off my back cement patio if the ground is wet, or there's tall snow. It's not a big deal as the paito is actully eaiser to clean poo off of then the grass and a hose takes care of the rest.
