How to get two sims to live together from different familes?

So I created two sims, male and female. I want the male sim to end up with Zoe, and the female sim to end up with J Huntington. After many days the female finally became girlfriend to Huntington. I want the Huntington couple to live in another house and the Zoe couple to live in the current house. The only options i see are when I'm selecting my female sim, I only see offer keys to Huntington. The Zoe couple aren't a couple yet though, they are still at "good friends" I've also tried the splitting household but I don't think that's what I want. Any ideas?

    Far as I know there should be two ways. Use the phone, as you suggest, to split the household and move some out.
    The same, or at least a simlar effect can be achieved by going to "Manage Worlds" and then into Manage Households. You will reach a screen which shows you all the families living in your save. They will be under two categories, played and unplayed/other. By selecting the appropriate option there (I forget the exact wording, sorry), you will be able to move Sims around between households.
