How to keep neighbors out of your house?

Maybe it is, but I want to know if it's supposed to happen.

I've never had anyone come into my house uninvited.

You are far from alone - a lot of people complain about this.

My poor sims have people dropping by unannounced constantly & almost all of them eventually decide in mid-conversation to enter my sims' home & just do whatever they please.

One of my sims had 5 different friends drop by one after the other. Had this huge group conversation going & then they each decided to just walk into her home & use the computer, stereo, tv, fridge, bookshelves - & not clean up after themselves. SO annoying to chase them down one by one & then clean up after they finally left.

My Sim has a best friend that always seems to be at her house. It drives me crazy. I wonder if the woman ever works or goes to her own home.

When I was playing yesterday, I noticed a sim was in my house that I did not let in... I didn't even know he was at the door waiting.. so I'm not sure if he walked in the front or back door, but either way, he did it on his own. This was the first time I noticed this. I spend about 1/2 my time in my home, and the other half at another sim's home.

Why are you guys hating this? I love it. Besides they dont enter the house. They just wait for hours on your doorstep asking politely to come inside!

Dont complain about them. Let them enter and make them work for you as your servants.
They work better than the maids.
Make few townies with neat trait then keep inviting them to do your house chores. You will get a free maid!

My townies come early at 5 am and I wont let them leave until the midnight

My Sim friends come over and knock on the door all the time, but they never come in unless invited. If I don't want them to come in, I don't answer to door, or I go and talk to them outside and then go back in without them. Maybe some personality types don't respect closed doors? Don't know.

Well, it's a weirder story, but not in a good way lol! In fact, it's pretty annoying. If someone did that to me, I would yell at them!

Yes, they do come inside uninvited. My sim stopped to talk to someone while jogging in her neighborhood and, next thing I knew, he was reading a book on her couch!

I had the same thing happen to me multiple times. The say goodbye option doesn't work for me. They come back to my house where I then have to ask them to leave x.x

It is nice that they incorporated elements from twallans mod that I noticed. But at least in the mod you can adjust the likelihood that a friend or relative would visit your house. Seems like the game has it set at upwards of 75%.

I dont know but I love sims visiting each other a lot. When you have a baby they are of great help. Neat sims visiting my house are always cleaning everything.

I really wish one day we get the "influence" option back from TS2 so I can make my sims order them what to do. Maybe cooking, repairing etc
