The research station I believe is the computer in the college town.

  • If you have Basemental Drugs, there's a bug. If the Sim has ADHD and is doing freelance work, when they stop doing the task for the job autonomously without finishing, the task is set to completed.
  • Frog Breeding
Cloning Machine - Get to Work; made with Invention Constructor
Copypasto - Realm of Magic, practical magic spell
Wishing Well - Romantic Garden Stuff
  • Sit still and do nothing.
A little exaggerated perhaps but it is literally impossible to not get incredibly rich very fast in this game.

After the later updates there is even several random events that will give you thousands of Simolions per week for doing nothing. And i am not exaggerating, the chance of you being offered 2500 Simolions just by answering your phone at least once per Sim week is VERY high.

You can have kids and sell the baskets for §150.

    :D :D :D

    That's hilarious! :p
  • Money making clubs. Have people over to paint and just sell their stuff as it goes. Might works with some other crafts but I stick to painting for some sim starters.
High Charisma? ask for loans that you never have to pay back.
Didn't see Mixology yet but after you get good you can make some bucks by just mixing and selling.
Roomates. Set them up in a tiny room with a bed and let them pay you!
    Autographs.

This is not what the original poster was asking. These are obvious.
  • Painting on the digital stylus. You can queue up four or five paintings in a row, then hit triple speed. You can occasionally get a masterpiece which sells for thousands of simoleons, and even the average quality paintings can get a few hundred bucks.

(Edit) I thought of this later on. You can visit sims that have gardens and harvest their produce. Sell it or eat it depending on your own needs. A lot of my sims will have large, established gardens with many evolved plants. I'll often have a new sim visit the old family, and have them grab some fruits and vegies to start their own gardens. Perfect apples sell well and you get lots from one tree.
