I agree with

I don't really agree with
- Katrina is clone made by Calientes
reason being Calientes have no motive to make themselves new mom
and they are not scientists or have science related aspirations
Katrina is also older than Calientes
I think her being secret agent with false identity makes more sense
and she still could be distantly related to Calientes but not their mom
I will probably treat this new lore as if its just a rumor
(The bolded part) That's an interesting theory. Maybe she's a secret agent investigating the disappearance of Bella Goth (in TS2)? When Dina and Nina came to Oasis Springs, they lost their memory and she's masquerading as their mother and Don's lover to get information? I don't know how moving to Oasis Springs could make them lose their memory but it could be similar to the lore in TS3 with Don in Riverview? Maybe they went to look for Don, and all of them ended up in Oasis Springs? Ok, I may be seriously reaching. I'll see myself out. :D
I'll admit I had not thought quite that far  but this theory surely makes more sense than the cloning thing to me- SweetieWright_843 years agoSeasoned AceIn all honesty, I think they're addressing the lore now because they realized how much many simmers want lore. I don't think TS4 was ever meant to be a part of the original timeline and when they realized many people wanted lore, they said it was an alternate timeline.
With this new "alternate timeline," that is TS4, where will that leave Project Rene/Sims 5? Will they double down on this lore, or will they completely forget TS4's timeline, and make TS5 continue the original? And also, why now after nearly a decade? Is it a hint at a lore overhaul? So many questions and very few answers. - meeshwood3 years agoSeasoned AceI think that whole segment was a hint that we are getting heart shaped beds back, and hopefully also smores.

I do hope they understand how lore is important to many people. I used to be really interested in Sims 2 and Sims 3 lore (mainly 2 cause it was much deeper) but in Sims 4 I barely follow cause the stories are very shallow in comparison. - SweetieWright_843 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm relatively new to The Sims in general, only started with TS3 (around a year before Supernatural came out). It wasn't until TS4 came out, that I discovered Mortimer and Bella were married.
When TS2 was offered for free years ago, I got it and discovered all of the games kind had a timeline and lore. Once I learned that, I was intrigued and began watching theories of Bella's disappearance, the timeline, etc.
As a sucker for an origin story, I was fascinated by the lore, only to discover TS4 doesn't really have any relation to the original timeline. It may seem a bit too late now but I would gladly welcome a lore overhaul. And I hope they stick to the original timeline for Project Rene/TS5, but I have a feeling it's going to get even farther from it.
I'm trying reserve judgment for TS5 because it's so early but I don't have high hopes that it will focus on the original lore of the previous games. Please EA, prove me wrong. Make me eat my words, I'll gladly do so....with salt. ? - LaunchSneezes3 years agoSeasoned AceWhy would her name get censored? I don't understand.

I think it's possibly because of the first three letters? Though it's really just the word Night with an 'a' before the 't'... - LaunchSneezes3 years agoSeasoned AceHuh. I wonder why they gave her that name, then?
Edit: removed angst - Omri1473 years agoSeasoned Ace

Gotcha. I can't really picture it in my head so I'll have to look it up later on my phone or something. My brain isn't wanting to work.
