I don't own my own tent ???

Your sim has to place them - otherwise the game says you don't own them.

Unfortunately my sim placed her tent and I have yet to find it. She had placed it twice before with no issue - but outside the garden temple when I asked her to place it - she did but when the camera got to her again the tent went flying off and now I can't find it.

He did place them himself. The tent etc, are still there. He was able to use them but the game will not allow him to pick them back up.

Odd. The first two times my sim placed them, she had no problem picking them back up - and the third time as I said the placement didn't work and the tent is who knows where. So it seems chancey to even bring them.

I have been thinking, perhaps my sim should bring one of those camp beds instead. Maybe I will try that next vacation.

ETA - That was weird as well Chazzy. Maybe the devs need to tweak the placement of stuff in JA world.

That's odd, guys. I brought a big group of Sims to the temple and they placed two tents outside, plus one inside the temple, and when they had finished raiding it, they were able to pack everything up and take it back with them. But they did buy all of their supplies in Salvadorada, they didn't bring any camping stuff from another world. Could that be the problem, maybe? Perhaps the jungle glitches if you try to use supplies that were not bought in the same map?

Also, have you tried repairing the game? I do a repair every time I download a new pack, just in case it tweaks something.

LiELF, I do likewise after each patch and with each new pack. This was my first time having any issue with almost anything in Sims 4.

Hmmm. Where did your sims get their tents from? Did they buy them at the market Cantina or did they bring them from home?

They brought it from home.

I'm thinking that might be the issue. Maybe camping supplies brought from home are bugged when trying to use them. Have you reported it in the bugs section yet? I'd suggest to go ahead and do that. Outdoor retreat supplies are supposed to work in the new world. I think I saw somewhere in another thread that someone was having a similar issue. I guess a workaround would be to just use the supplies that are sold at the market Cantina.

What was odd is it worked fine two times but flew off into space on the third placement. She still has her cooler and shower though. In my case it was just the tent.

I'll have to try buying a new tent my next trip to JA. Might take a while though. My Sim needs to buy a rocketship for her work. LOL.

Tents are going invisible occasionally. Happened with some youtubers during their Let's Plays.
