I Don't Understand Club Perks

I've done a search of the forum and have read all the posts I could find about "club perks", and I still don't understand how they work. If I choose a particular "vibe", how do I activate it? Is it in effect ONLY during that club gathering? Will club members all feel the vibe every time they meet? If I choose one vibe -- for instance, if I choose to have a "famous" club -- can another club member un-do that and make the club "infamous"? If I choose a "romantic" vibe, can another member buy an "angry" vibe? How would that work?

I also don't understand items for the club uniform. I've tried buying friendship bracelets, and I'm reminded to add them to the uniform, but I can't figure out how to do it. Where do I actually find these bracelets after I've "bought" them as perks?

One last question. I have a sim who aspires to be the leader of the "best" club. How is that determined? I'm sure it has something to do with perks, but I have no clue how it works. Any info would be appreciated!

I'm also wishing our "activities" could be a bit more specific. I'd like clubs where activities included "discuss color theory" or "share fitness tips" or other things. I think 8 members (total) is very limited, too. I'd rather we had clubs where membership could grow as the club became more popular. The game could restrict meetings to only 8 sims, but the club roster should be unlimited, IMO (Unless the club owner sets a specific restriction.)

EA, I also want the ability to restrict membership by gender - a girls' only club, a men only club. Maybe another thought would be to have restrictions by aspirations...for example, a club where only those with a Deviance aspiration could apply for membership.

Anyway, if someone can explain the club perks system to me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

  • I will try to explain it as best I can, even though I can only answer the first half. :)
Regarding the famous and infamous, only the club leader can change that, and I think it costs club points every time you want to change it. (not confirmed)

The vibes are set by clicking a club member during a gathering, go clubs, set vibe and choose which vibe you want to set.
I dont think npc:s can change this. (not confirmed)
You have to have bought both angry vibe and flirty vibe though, and once again, only club leader can actually buy the vibes, but if you play somone else but the leader in the same club, you can set a purchased vibe.

Regarding the bracelet, you will have to modify club outfit, go into adult male or female and set the bracelet in cas.
The club outfits are only available to teens-elder.

    Hope this helped.

    best of luck! :)
  • Yes, that helps somewhat. I thought I'd bought "vibe" club perks with other members of a club, not the club leader. Let me check it out again and see if I can properly activate a vibe now. I'll check CAS for the friendship bracelets, too. Thanks!

EDIT: I went back into the game, joined the pre-made "Music Club", and my sim was able to purchase a "vibe" perk, so it's not limited to club owners. I did find the "club" options to set the vibe -- and also to complain about the club's leader. I'm hoping to get rid of her soon! LOL

Thanks, Cinebar. I haven't played since July, but I heard that Get Together was a step in the right direction -- more of the old sandbox feel -- so I'm back to simming. I am enjoying the pack.
  • About the friendship bracelet is it a specific bracelet I need to apply in cas? Cuz I don't see anything new.
  • It's not in CAS but it is... you have to get to cas specifically from the club uniform section, not normal cas. You can also dostuff like set uniform colour to "pink" (I do this for my kids princess club haha... the kids all show up to every meeting wearing all pink, but any outfit. You can set type too like "wear formal" but the sims have the choice what formal thing to show up in
