You can still do that by just clicking on the Load button only and it will open the saved games. Click the save you are on and it just opens into the world not the lot.
Perhaps someone who hasn't updated can check that.
I don't mind opening in the neighborhood view, that was how it was before. The problem now is that it opens in the last house that you played. So you now have to wait for that house to load, and then exit to the neighborhood to select a different house. It does not take long for my game to load, but it is still an annoyance that wasn't there before.
