I always do a Save As whenever I begin a gaming session. This allows for me to do a rollback, or even a game save recovery, if need be. So glad I have a back-up of my Main Save, though.
@wahini2024 did you play the saves that got infected, or were they just in your Sims4 folder?
My saves were doing okay across the board after the hot fix patch came through. When I started a new save, however, for a single sim challenge every save load was infected by the groundhog day bug. All of them. I couldn't even travel without it resetting back in time.
I uninstalled the game and my only real option at this point is to delete my save loads, disable the hsy expansion and rebuild. It's just that messy. It doesn't even guarantee that the groundhog day bug will be gone but I've read that most who disabled the pack no longer had this issue. Fingers crossed. I do have my files saved should I ever be able to restore hsy once the big is fixed.. if it gets fixed anytime soon.
Oh, wow. If I lose all the progress in my Main Save, where my Global Superstar, Rock Star, is up for this 21st Accolade for Best Song, I will be totally traumatized. I created a Flashback save to show him going through high school. I just replaced it with the back up save and I'm still having issues. So, I rolled back to the very first save and uploaded the family to My Library to start them again in a new Save. I gave them a new save folder, too. Nothing else in it. This makes me want to cry. I have restarted this family more times over the past two years than I can recount. Something is always tweaking it. Mostly Patches, to the point I'm quite leery of them now. I finally did a game repair before I actually started the new save, this time. So far, so good. We'll see how things look this morning when I get down to business and start to play. It's not easy getting a Sim to where Erik is at currently (or was, if the worst has happened). If things have gone south in my Main Save, then I'll just have to work all the harder to get this version of Erik to where his YA self was when I left that save for the time being. He's nominated for his twenty-first Best Song Accolade. No wonder I've been losing sleep.
