My game has never been this broken ever. This will be the second time I've had to uninstall the game. Have done multiple repairs, new saves are broken. I have the groundhog day bug now and it's fully unplayable all because I started a NEW save file. I'm hoping when I download again I can keep that bug riddled pack from installing. I'd rather have my cc and mods than this pack which offers more bugs than gameplay. Sorry I'm just so tired of having to repair a game that costs as much as it does and I can't say I'll ever invest in one more pack because this game breaks more often with each new pack that's not a bb or cas pack and every update comes with new issues. I've spent two hours trying to fix this for the second time this week and I'm over it. For that matter I hope I can ditch MWS ad well. Just ranting. Though serious about not investing further into this game going forward

I feel your pain. Yesterday, after at least three failed attempts to have my Sim graduate, I switched to the back-up save thinking this would help. No. Sadly, my Sim aged up and despite his straight A status, was decreed a Drop-Out! Again. Going off of what others have said, I may well be in your same boat. I went back to day one of my Flashback save, to bring my Sim up the ranks to Global Superstar, which he originally attained in his Teens, so that I could show him in his high school years. I uploaded the family and placed them into a New Save. This after doing the game repair I failed to do after the Patches. He's barely started. Setting up the new save takes time. Originally, I took the time with aging off to get him established before the Patch and the release of HSY. He made it in ten Sim days as he did in my Main Save. And, he managed to win his first Starlight Accolade for Best Song. In fact, he got the three he originally won while in high school. He couldn't get the fourth nominated, which was a clue something was amiss. This, plus the Drop Out status is what sent me to the Back-Up, or Plan B. Which bore little fruit. He still managed to achieve Drop Out just for aging up.I don't normally do stuff beforehand like that and now it seems it was a useless waste of my time. Glad I created a back-up, but that seemed bugged, too. :open_mouth: I do hope I won't have the groundhog day bug, although to a very limited degree, I've experienced it. Being a Rock Star in the making, he writes songs, too. Used to be, if a Sim couldn't finish it in one sitting, you could click on the sheet music held in their personal inventory and resume. There is no resuming going on. Instead, you get to start it all over again. Face/palm. Writing music, like writing books, takes a lot of time. Sim hours, in fact.The good news is that by taking him back to the beginning and transferring the family into a new save, Erik still won his first Karaoke contest by the same points count: 86/100. I have some hope. I managed via MCCC, keeping his needs full, to have him finish the song he won his first accolade with. Time will tell. If things don't work out as I had hoped, at least I've shared several updates on the What Happened In Your Game Today thread, to serve as the Flashback story. I just hoped to include pictures from his graduation. I was going to actually try it today as I have time to really play. Didn't want to use one of my saves as didn't want to take a choice of ruining them. Was going to start a new game and play with just a couple starting out, no use of high school until they had children and grew to teen. But after reading this, I am definitely going to wait until this mess if fixed. Can't believe how bad it all is! Hopefully they will be able to fix it. Have to admit, I am beginning to lose hope.

yeah learned my lesson with mws I am now very hesitant to adding new packswill probably add werewolves one day just cause its werewolves and occult is big enough part of my gameplay and literally everything in that pack is something i have lots of use forbut all other new packs are definitely getting quite big examination before i will even consider buying thembecause i still consider myself lucky my computer runs the game at all after adding MWS it almost didn't and i don't want to risk it againhoping to be able to add some ram to my computer next year so i can at least eliminate that being potential reason for my troubles

@GalacticGal please, join the rant! I don't mind at all. It messed up my game so badly, mind you I removed every mod and cc cas and cc bb to ensure that wasn't the issue. In the vanilla game most of my properties don't have a functional front door, the game resets every time I travel and I've just disabled the pack. I'm still repairing as I type this and still am unsure if it'll fix the massive issues I'm having

I started a new save file and every save load is now infected with the "groundhog day" bug which means I can't progress my game because it saves it 3 or 4 sim days in the past. Wait.

That's just crazy-insane. I'm so sorry to read this. Is that mod for Sims2, or is it just based on the Sims2 mod? Has it been updated? I haven't been able to play without updating for the past few Patches, myself. Even when I have the do not auto-update my game set, (I have mods) and go offline, it won't allow me to start the game until I go back online. Then I get a rather insistent message that I must update. They are getting rather pushy in my not-so-humble opinion. I think they jammed way too much into the Patch and the EP, myself. (And I only voluntarily patched because I wanted this EP.) What I got was a basketful of trouble. For instance, I have a straight male Sim in my game. I set things in CAS to reflect that, or so I thought. What does he roll as a want? To flirt with Thorne Bailey. Face/palm. If we don't get these wants fulfilled our Sims risk carrying this fear around that they'll never realize their dreams. Not only that but we can't pick and choose like we could with the whims. It's either all or nothing. Oh, we can toggle off Wants & Fears, for instance, but they don't stick. The moment our Sims travels to another lot, guess what? The wants and fears are present again. :open_mouth: That's not a nudge, that's a full-on shove!

I'm very glad I didn't get the high school pack and update. My last pack was werewolves and now I play offline and will never purchases any more content for the game again.

It was fun while it lasted :)

Ha, moved your thread... I see damage control is in full swing. They definitely need it. Especially revealing Sims 5 will be multiplayer, totally alienating their player base.

Been playing offline for years. There comes a time when enough is enough. Not doing the TS5 online thing, either. Not to be mean, but if they persist with the online thing, I'll be highly amused if 2014 repeats itself.

Not to say I've had it, but am currently enjoying much more making a miniature HMAS Canberra. Have been visiting the forums while paint dries for a given stage. So many unhappy people... it's really sad.

I just hope that they not only read 8 years of feedback on the forums and the rest of the Internet, but will actually act upon our feedback, too.

Honestly, if The Sims 5 is online, that should tell you enough — run far away.

Yikes, I have aging off because I prefer it that way due to my rotational game play but mine kept reverting in time which corrupted my saves because every save required hsy to play. So I lost/ deleted my saves in order to play it again. I disabled the hsy pack and I have zero issues now but I'm hoping it'll get fixed. Until then, I can't enable the pack. The flirting on social bunny was also extremely out of control for me. I'm rebuilding my sims. Thankfully they're all saved to my gallery as well as my builds so I was willing to just delete it all and start over because mine was unplayable when it kept saving the game in the past and my sims are usually involved in a challenge. So. Yeah I hope they sort this out someday.

I actually found out what my issue was. It turns out the cloud saved all of the original cache files and what not so it was causing the issue I didn't know it before I reinstalled. Game runs fine now, saves and I have no cas issues. It's just the low needs not showing up and sometimes the T-pose challenge has made it to the other worlds and adults do the t-pose now. I saw a cop doing it at the police station. >.<

Did you purposefully have your things sent to the cloud? If it's automatic, count me out.

Nope, but you can shut it off through the settings but no, it was actually from the files off my old laptop that were saved in there before I bought my desktop. I had actually shut it off originally on my laptop through the cloud settings but with my desktop I kinda forgot before it was too late. At least it solved a lot of problems I was having and also saved me from recreating every sim I ever made. So it's kind of a life saver.

@wahini2024 did you play the saves that got infected, or were they just in your Sims4 folder?

My saves were doing okay across the board after the hot fix patch came through. When I started a new save, however, for a single sim challenge every save load was infected by the groundhog day bug. All of them. I couldn't even travel without it resetting back in time.

I uninstalled the game and my only real option at this point is to delete my save loads, disable the hsy expansion and rebuild. It's just that messy. It doesn't even guarantee that the groundhog day bug will be gone but I've read that most who disabled the pack no longer had this issue. Fingers crossed. I do have my files saved should I ever be able to restore hsy once the big is fixed.. if it gets fixed anytime soon.
