If you are an occult (Special character) enthusiast then i sugest the vampire GP for the skill-tree that the vampire has and can keep you entertained while you level up that sim. Making it a game more single-sim focused like TheSims3 World adventures. However vampires you dont know will keep trying to visit your house at awkard times.
GetTogether has more content overall since it is an expansion pack, the town has many more lots than the vampire one, the clothing is interesting and the clubs dynamics can really keep you busy if you get creative. These make the expansion more focused on groups of sims, having parties and making friends, downside is that people will keep giving you creepy calls for parties, even if your sim's a child.
