I have extreme fear for the Grim Reaper

I was always scared of him in past games, too. I could never see his face and it scared the life out of me. I think the only way to get over this fear (which, btw, you should have no shame about it) is to think that the Sims is not real. There is no grim reaper in reality, he is literally just some binary codes on a computer that look like a ghostly subject.
He can't ever harm you, the only things he can do are happily and peacefully bury you or redeem your life so you can spend it with family. Isn't that lovely? He can't kill you, he doesn't want to. All he wants to do is pay his respects and bury you in the safest way possible. Remember that o:)
