I have to babysit my sims

I don’t know whether this is a mod glitch or a game glitch. Ever since I played out this storyline that made me use a lot of mean interactions, I’ve had to supervise their every move to make sure they weren’t autonomously performing mean interactions on people that they like. I’ve had to break up multiple fights between sisters (who have a full relationship), and stop sims from insulting their partners. I’m pretty sure the Roughhousing NAP wasn’t enacted in any of their neighborhoods nor was it Neighborhood brawl day (but I did cancel it and that’s when most of my problems started)
  • Do you have parenthood installed? Toddler and up to Teen have an increased gain in character value up or down, once you autonomously use mean interaction, their conflict resolution, emotional control or empathy would decrease in an accelerating rate once it reaches enough low they will autonomously use negative interaction (including mean), though from what I observe it also affected Young adult and up but very slightly and you cant see their character value, I had my young adult sim who didnt have parenthood trait autonomously use mean interaction because I ordered him to few weeks before(sims time) now they do it without my supervision and he was a goody two shoes before.
  • Jesus Christ, not to bring up an old discussion but not only is this issue still happening, but it's also happening to sims who should under no circumstances be performing these mean interactions. Literally, these sims were two friends, both with the good trait, and both were in a good mood. Neither was there a NAP in place, but they were still autonomously insulting one another. This is a ridiculous autonomy issue. I don't want to turn off autonomy with MCCC or in-game options (then I'd really be babysitting these sims and I like random townies in the world being pricks) but this is getting out of hand.
  • The easiest way to find out if it mod related would be to pull your mods, delete your localthumcache.package file. After that start up your game and see if the issue is still going on.
  • ^This, if you have parenthood, doing mean things as a child/teen will make them a meaner sim, giving them negatve points in conflict resolution
etc, and so that will be defual, however I def. find that if you've used a few mean interactons they start doing a lot of them on their own as young adults too, which is why I always avoid mean interactions haha

The sim I was referring to was a YA. This is also an across the board problem ever since I cancelled the neighborhood brawl holiday. I just can’t think of a mod that would cause this problem other than Have Some Personality ??‍♀️ but mods are funky so…
  • You call it babysitting. I call it playing the game. The Sim acts upon what they learned. To fix your sim you can cheat the skill back to zero along with the character stuff. However if you have MCCC you can choose to forbid certain interactions. I used it to turn off mean and mischievous interactions in my game. My Sims can gain skill and it affects character values only if I cue up the action. They will not be mean or mischievous autonomously.
