I may have been too harsh towards not just the EP but also the world at first. I played a few sim weeks and built two three lots in San Sequoia. Loved plugging in my headphones and following my sims as they jogged/walked the paths. That was really fun for me and I even love the movie theater rabbit hole. These are things I'll easily revisit all the time no matter where my sims live. I do agree there's so many great spots for community lots but there's a ton of dead shell space that should have been lots. This shell as an example:

kills me that we didn't get that shell as a playable lot. It was the first thing that popped out to me when we got the world map before release, and I still think it is so, so adorable. I will never get over that one, or the mill in Henford... it's one thing to make a million backdrop houses, but why would they go to the trouble of making such distinct and unique shells, when they
must have known people would want to do something with them? It seems almost like intentional trolling.
