- BabykittyjadeRising ObserverI don't believe they were going for 100% real world accuracy. It's not like Sims live in those real world places the team just uses them as a reference. They most likely chose llamas because it's iconic to the Sims not based on location.
I kind of think jungle adventure doesn't need a refresh when compared to some other packs but I do hope we can live there one day.
And I would love to get more animals overall. Pigs, sheep, goats, water Buffalo, deers etc. - Mk_2790New Spectator

I think Jungle Adventure deserves a refresh:
New residential neighborhood
Nectar making
Pottery (there's some clay items in the pack) - crocobauraSeasoned Ace

They also need to make those woven baskets usable and give them some placement slots so we could put fruits and vegetables in them. - It should be noted that Cottage Living is NOT a farming pack, but rather a homesteading one. You are not tending to herds of animals and plowing fields here.
Keeping llamas and alpacas is actually an increasingly used method of predator deterrence in the UK to protect hens from foxes, as well as worldwide, where they can protect sheep and goats from coyotes. They instinctively protect their charges against predators without the need for training. Shearing and selling their wool is just an extra and not the primary reason for keeping them.
Here, llamas provide gameplay where sheep wouldn't. In addition, I'm not sure how common it is for homesteaders to keep a single sheep rather than a small herd of them at least. - OldeSimsFanNew TravelerA ram, one or two ewes, and you have a not overwhelming start to a flock. Sheep are so very British it's very odd they are not in the game. Besides, the new lambs are soooo adorable!
- Has everyone forgotten the running gag? Llamas and llama like things have been synonymous with the Sims for years. They are never out of place in any pack and their traces are all over 4 already.
When it came to picking a fiber animal, of course the llama won over the sheep. Not that sheep are bad, but after programming everything with animal shed for Cottage Living just picking a single fiber animal. Also, as has already been pointed out, although typically llama are more livestock guardians with optional fiber in Anglo contexts, they're raised fairly commonly across the globe.
I understand wanting more than one animal. I'd love more, too, but it is unreasonable to expect them prior to Cottage Living's groundwork for Animal Sheds and Coops, etc., since they are developed as objects. - Mk_2790New Spectator

If pottery comes first before Jungle Adventure refresh, then woven instead pottery (not sewing) - I agree, though alpacas are frequently seen in the country fairs where I live despite it being more like Northern England here for climate and geography. People who raise wool also have sheep but they don't get as much interest at these fairs. Maybe people consider sheep too basic?

Maybe this is why you’re seeing them more than sheep: "Alpaca fleece is warmer than Merino Wool, wicks moisture off of your body at an 85% greater rate than Merino Wool, is the most eco-friendly natural fiber, is softer than cashmere and is antimicrobial."

I absolutely love Cottage Living exactly as it is, and I personally wouldn’t change a thing.
