This has been the case since the Sims 1 Will Wright only wanted the base game out but EA saw the money trail and made maxis put out expansions. When you sit down and think about it year after year it's an endless loop with the franchise.They don't even give you time to enjoy your game collection when a new empty one comes out a year later. "Well I just put money into all these games they released over the years but the new one is out time to do it all over again". It truly makes my brain itch lol it's a crazy money tactic EA knows the public will fall into.
