I miss sims being woken up by noises

Kind of a random topic, not sure where to post this but I really miss when sims used to get woken up by noises. In 3 if a sim started playing the guitar, or turned the tv or stereo on in a room where ...

I thought sure this was a feature. Am very confused now. Did it break? Am I remembering wrong?
