So the couple, the parents Henry (husband/dad) and Linda (wife/mom) got in a fight. Well I made them fight trying to get Henry angry. Cause Henry is an artist and I wanted to get him angry to make an angry painting. It backfired :/ He got a little angry but not full on mood angry. Linda got full on mood angry so she was able to do an angry painting. And from that fight, I wrecked their relationship hard and I didn't let either apologize as it was happening. And now it's been long time over, they can't apologize about it, and trying to be romance with each other they get embarrassed. I wounded their friendship a lot and their love life is more damaged from it. It's difficult to get them on friendly terms since the fight. I don't know how to repair their relationship. They are basically both good sims, so fighting is extremely rare for them. So I think that it hurt them a lot more than I thought it would. So please get me some advice on how to mend their feelings for each other, so they can stop getting embarrassed or awkward when they encounter each other please.And it was all caused because I wanted Henry's emotions to flare so he could do some emotional paintings. And I can't get him to do any. :neutral: He's been so confident lately and I can't kill his confidence to make him feel any other flare of emotion for new kind of paintings. Mending their romantic relationship will just take patience. If their friendly relationship isn't fully green yet, just focus on that until it is. Then take it slow with the romance. Start with flirting, then complimenting. But don't go too far or overdo it; just take it slow.As for how to change their emotions, that's actually pretty easy. There are a ton of different ways to influence the emotions your Sims are feeling, one of them being items you can buy from Build/Buy. I know different packs also offer ways as well, like potions and such.

Ah, that is good news that they are back to original relationship! In trying to do that, it can be best to just wait for the moodlets to be over, and/or work on that by Calming Down In The Mirror for Anger, Hide Under The Covers for Embarrassment, or use the menu interactions on the other Sim to do a Smooth Recovery, etc, that are meant for the alleviating the emotions. They're easy to spot as they have the same color as the emotion on their little icons. It's also hard to work on getting the relationship back in the green if they are Uncomfortable or Tense, so one can work on that. When they're back to a more positive moodlet, the interactions so much more smoothly and increase the bars more quickly. If you want them to do something that will last a while, you can select Cloud- or Stargazing if you have Outdoor Retreat. It builds Friendship slowly, but will last around a Sim half hour.If you need to get Angry, the Lion Animal Hat will do it. These hats came with TS4 Digital Deluxe Upgrade. It is offered free from time to time if you don't have this content. You just click Plan Outfit on a dresser or mirror and go into CAS. If a household Sim is Hotheaded and/or gets randomly angry for other reasons, you can have them cook Flaming Hot Spaghetti, and have the other Sim eat it. If all else fails, just pick a random Sim walking by the house and do some Mean interactions until you Declare Enemy, and that should do it as well. Then you won't mess up your important relationships.

The easiest emotional painting to do is Flirty because it's very easy to make a Sim get flirty. Sometimes I have my Sims ponder chess moves at a chess table or use the web to research Simpedia to make them Focused. That way they can paint a mathematical diagram which counts as an emotional painting plus it counts toward the Logic skill.

If you have those Sims 3 lamps (so jealous) you should be good to go for getting your Sim in certain emotions to paint them. But just in case you were curious of other ways, here's a link to a list from the forums on Carl's Sims 4 Guide that shows other ways to do it as well. *Note - Some of these require more than just the Base game to accomplish and rewards from other careers.

Emotions and Items/Actions That Influence Them

EDIT: This list is from 2014 so it's in no way all inclusive. I'm sure there are other ways not listed from packs released since the list was made. Regardless, I still find it quite handy and use it all the time. :)

You're welcome! Simmers were awarded those lamps for having TS3 packs. One lamp for each pack they own. Sadly, I've never played TS3 so I'll never be able to acquire them unless I were to buy TS3 now. That won't happen since I'm so into TS4. No biggie, it's all good. :)

@Anitalifegurl I'm guessing it doesn't matter if you only played it once or for multiple hours over a span of years. As long as you had TS3 listed in your Origin account at the time you bought TS4, when you opened the game for the first time, the lamps would've downloaded into your game, one for each pack available for TS3 that you own.

I don't have and never have had TS3, so I'm not 100% positive that's how it worked. It's just how I surmise they were given by reading threads on this forum. :)

Oh ok. I have the regular one. And I don't know how I got it in the Sims 4 before Origin and Steam merged gaming libraries XD Cause I wasn't gotta pay Origin price on Sims 3. That's why I got it on Steam instead, it was cheaper. But boy it SUCKED. So that's why I eventually gotten Sims 4 XD

Okay, it's no biggie. I don't think Sims 3 is worth it. It ran so badly XD The camera got stuck in one position. It was like a train wreck. I don't know what was wrong with it. Sims 4 is WAY better, so smooth and runs so perfectly :smiley:

Oh, okay. So, you don't have TS3 in your Origin Library, it's on Steam? Interesting. Well, I guess somehow they knew you had it is why you got the lamp. I have no idea how though. lol Oh well, at least you have it. :)

I don't know either. XD I can't remember how I got it. I think it was a reward in Sims 4. XD But I can't remember honestly. And I don't know how it knew about Sims 3 I had on Steam before the two gaming libraries had merged. XD Yeah. All it is, is a lamp. XD I don't think it's so special. But apparently it can influence moods with different colored lights. So maybe it is special XD
