I was not for sure if I should have posted this in the Sims 4 or the Sims 2 forum, because this is about toddlers from both games. Today I took a brake from Sims 4 to play a family in Sims 2. This family has two toddlers, and something I noticed was how fast it took toddlers in Sims 2 to gain a their full rest when sleeping. It seems like their parents would put them down, and normally would use this time to catch up on their own rest or to take care of some other important needs, but they gained their rest so fast it seemed a bit unreal. In Sims 4. toddlers take forever in getting fully rested. This is not a complaint or anything, just an observation.

Yeah, toddlers in TS2 were a major handful tbh. I always dreaded that life stage. It's even worse with multiples. c': I wouldn't survive without CC floor mats for them to sleep on.

I think the toddler sleep needs are pretty realistic. On average, in real life, toddlers need more sleep per night than adults. Unless someone has them take naps during the day, that sleep time is being stacked at the end of the day. In this game, toddlers generally start running for their bed when they hit yellow in energy...if you forced a toddler to get far down into the red before sleeping then it will certainly take longer to get them back to full but if you let them go to bed when they start getting sleepy, then it's fine.

It sucks for sims 4 toddlers cause a lot of times their hunger needs lower faster than their sleep needs rise so you gotta wake up the fussy nuggets to feed them.

It does take ages for TS4 toddlers to fully rest lol but I honestly love it. It's realistic :)

I do too. :) I really think that they have improved on the toddlers, especially in Sims 4.

I like toddlers in both. The sims 4 toddlers are better but the sims 2 fanatic in me just can't say the sims 2 toddlers are rubbish. They are more dependent and I think are a lot younger than their sims 4 cousins so it's natural they are a bit harder to deal with.

Sims 4 toddlers are adorable and fantastic but I find them quite easy to deal with.

I know that a few people complained that TS4 toddlers sleep too long, but I love it and hope it never changes. It gives the caregivers more time to wind down and get things done. Especially if you have a household full of the little buggers.

I prefer it if they sleep longer. It makes nights much easier and it makes getting stuff done yourself much easier, like cleaning after them or serving up food.

I've played them a few times I do like the way they sleep especially being able to fall asleep on the floor ect. I started either putting them down for a nap mid day or playing them and having them fall asleep anywhere. It was pretty cute.

It does make it more realistic. Mine usally naps mid day then i wake him up for lunch and then in bed by 5/6 XD
