I wish hunger and bladder needs could drop slower during sleep for toddlers.I like that toddlers need so much sleep. Not only it's realistic, but it's also great for parents to have still time for intimacy before sleep."BlueR0se;15663331" wrote:
It plum for sims 4 toddlers cause a lot of times their hunger needs lower faster than their sleep needs rise so you gotta wake up the fussy nuggets to feed them."AprilDawn;15664520" wrote:
As mentioned - in Sims 4 - the toddlers nearly starve in their sleep so feel I have to check on them constantly and almost always have to wake them before they are done sleeping to feed them. Sims 2 was too fast though as was also mentioned - parents got no sleep or down time - a happy medium would be lovely!
They're fine, you guys. Lol. Just because you've received a warning doesn't mean the tots will get snatched immediately. I've never woken a toddler just because their hunger was in the red. Heck, I didn't feed a toddler for approx. 24 hours and he still wasn't taken away. Maybe it was 2 days? I don't remember. In fact, all needs were in the red because he was stuck outside of an apartment and I wasted a lot of time trying to fix him. (Resetsim wouldn't even work.)
I think we have more time to turn things around than we did with the previous games. You don't have to wake them for feeding, you just feel compelled to. ;)
your toddler probably didn't get taken because the game couldn't find him. I had toddlers stuck between the elevator and wall myself. many simmers have had toddlers taken even without a warning, or a warning then minutes later there gone, and though in the red and starving, were just about to sit and eat. They do get taken, I've only had one taken and that was because his stats had frozen, he was hungry but all was still in the green. I didn't save.
No, he was outside of the apartment in the open but in a spot where none of the adults could pick him up. It was really weird and not a one time thing because it kept happening.
I don't doubt that toddlers can get taken, it's just in my game I don't have a panic attack if they get hungry while sleeping. I let my tots sleep and feed them when they awaken. No big deal. Actually, I call the nanny because I'm not in any rush to feed them. I guess I'm taking a gamble, but so far all of my tots are fine.
I even have a 6 toddler/single mom household where the hunger bars are often in the red. (They're not starved for days, however.) I'm always being warned, but I don't care. I try not to stress myself out by worrying; if one ever gets taken away unintentionally, I'll just reload my save, lol. Unless I'm playing a scenario where the goal is to get them taken away... >:)
