I think I understand why there's a welcome party

Obviously, this isn't something that is common in today's society.  Most of the time we don't even know who our neighbors are, or even if they exist.  We do everything we can to avoid the neighbors. ...

I would time my vist in the midmorning on a weekend.

I would have with me a basket filled with an assortment of pastries like hot cronuts, cruffins and savory croissants filled with different meats,herbs and cheeses. 2 pitchers of cold brew-1spiked...

As they look in wonder at the golden hot pastries I push my way gently through their doorway into their home and the party begins. 

"What's crackin'!" 😜

Edit: if they get waisted on the cold brew...and pass out....then it's investigation time. 🧐
