Greg is a particularly troubled werewolf. Rory's personality appraisal of him seems to be very accurate, and short of using major cheats there doesn't seem to be a way of getting him to work through his problems. That would have made an interesting story option, actually. However, considering how old he probably is, there're likely lifetimes of issues involved there. I think he's best looked upon as a cautionary tale to other werewolves, "There but for the grace of decent temperaments go I."
A lot of the problem seems to be the Big Bad Wolf temperament he'd afflicted with, but that doesn't account for all of it. The high school boyfriend of one of my teen sims has that too, but it's manageable. She does on occasion have to tell him to go home until he's in a more civilized mood, but usually getting him to take deep breaths solves the problem. (Her parents have forbidden him from visiting on full moons, ever since the costly living room "renovation" he performed once.)
