I understand. Trust me, I have a huge wishlist I want, too. Most of what's on my list is also from previous iterations.
But just try to remember that all of these ideas were new to The Sims at one point. Witches was a new idea when it came out for The Sims 1. The devs tried something new and found out people liked it. Tropical Vacation was new for TS3, but turns out people really liked it. For all you know, The Sims 5 will be here one day and people will be saying "Why can't you bring back StrangerVille!?"
My point is, a big reason that we want things that have already been seen is because we've tried them and found out we like them. If we don't try new things, we might be missing out on other things we'd really like.
Again, I really do understand your point of view. Although I don't personally want witches, it is something I hope they do because I know it means a lot to many players. But it might come in time. Just try to understand the devs' position.
