I Threw A Party....No One Showed Up

I am not sure what is causing this but I have experienced the same thing on a few occasions.

The thread title would be one of the saddest things I've ever heard if we were not talking about The Sims.
A little more on topic, does this only happen on your home lot? Have you tried throwing a party elsewhere?

Have you tried removing all your mods then try to throw a party?

That was going to be my suggestion. Sometimes mods and/or cc can interfere with the game. Sorry to hear your Sim isn't quite the host expected. Nothing worse than throwing a party and the guests flat out don't arrive. How lonely. Party of One …

I don't hardly ever have my sims throw parties but they do attend a fair number of them. Mostly the Maxis Sims in the game seem to have them and a few do seem a bit light on the attendees but having nobody show up - what a downer that had to be... I do think Sims1, 2, and 3 had much better party attendance than Sims 4 seems to get. Odd with all the large numbers of Sims our sims get to know.

Do the other Sims have jobs? Thats the only thing I can think of.. if you had the party during the day the others might have been working? I have tried inviting a sim over and was told they were busy, and after checking the other household realized it had been work hours. I would assume this might apply to a party as well.

How do you host a party. I am level 30, have attended dozens of parties, but the host a party button is disabled.

Can you give more information? Are you talking about the option in the phone to host an event?

That sounds terrible. This happened to my sim but I think it was the lot he was on. There is a lot in Brindleton Bay where, when you invite people over, they don't actually transport to your lot, they arrive far away and get stuck coming over. It was very annoying at the time and I had to reset sims.

The island in Windenberg is a tough party spot too. Especially the 64 x 64 lot, it takes forever for guests to arrive and then if you do a prestige event you have to really scramble to get the task list done once they show. As for the OP, I suggest removing your entire mods folder to your desktop and try throwing a party in an entirely vanilla game and see if guests arrive.
