but getting big house helps some if you feel like having electricity in it

I never use the money cheat.....

I never cheat money and everyone still ends up ridiculously wealthy. I've also never had a sim win the lottery either, they always buy the tickets. I was beginning to think it wasn't really possible, nice to see that someone won!

9,999,999 simoleons (Not dollars!) is the maximum, isn't it? While I played, (still playing) the Goth family they reached that and couldn't get anymore. Any extra was *poofed*.

I try so hard to play without money cheats. So instead, I make sure everyone completes the fabulously wealthy aspiration as a teen. I had a save where the family had 6 sims teen-elder that had all completed the aspiration plus there were 6 money trees and some still had jobs. Their daily income was insane. Eventually I was giving 10k to everyone that stopped by to say hello, even Vlad lol.

My Sims never get really wealthy either, but I guess I never play them long enough.

Back in the early days i was a money cheat addict because it was harder to make money and have a nice home. I've found in TS4 that its easy to not be skint, until I played off-grid, where you can't get your sims into a job unless they already have one when they move in. I have two aliens and a mersim who are collectors, artists, fishers and gardeners, and I'm hoping to make ends meet somehow, but it feels more labour intensive, and I'm having to get them visiting other locations than the Island location to find collectables and go fishing, instead of the big gap in gameplay where they go out to work. Am I missing something?

@MelFox Thanks for that insight! I never thought about how they'd get a job off the grid. Now I know to get them employed first! Unless I want the challenge.
