I want EA and the Sims 4 to stop all the changes they are making to the Sims 4. I have been playing the Sims since the Sims 1 and I no longer recognise this game. I really want to love the Sims 4 ...

THIS. This is something that's underneath all the words people throw around like woke, representation, diversity, etc. It's a problem with marketing making the game entirely about CAS instead of actually PLAYING THE GAME. It's about skin color, hair color, and clothing over OBJECTS. And as Omri said, it's about playing YOURSELF as if that's all Sims players want to do.
It's all well and good to be able to sit back and be happy that you were able to make a Sim that's an accurate representation of yourself, but if there's nothing fun for that Sim to DO, you're going to shut down the game pretty quickly.
