I'm so happy we are getting this EXP but I was gutted when they said you can only live there. It would have been cool if you could also go on vacation there and owning another house (holiday home) or staying in a Airbnb or something like that. I just hope you can get a tan/sunburn in other worlds.

They said it’s a world sims live in, but they could be holding out on us. Nothing was said about the update other than the pride items. I also assume new swatches but there could be more. For instance maybe we can add rental lots to regular worlds? Or we can buy more than one lot (I really want this). Either way even without any of this you can make it a vacation for your sims. -Buy a retail lot and your sims can use it as a vacation home-make a generic lot with all they would need. It’s free and sims won’t come to it. Also if you really want them to spend money take some away using cheats. -I personally plan on having a lot with tents and outdoor stuff for my sims to vacation there. I have seen these ideas on the forums but I think they are great and can be helpful to those that want a vacation world.

I am hoping a modder will make a few changes and allow us to use the rental lot trait to make it happen. There is a resort mod floating around out there. I will probably use that until I find something better.

I wish all the worlds were both vacation and residential. Rental should be a lot trait, not a world trait. Such a shame you can't live in Selvadorada for example, a big mistake on their part to divide worlds like that in my opinion.

I wish Island Living was both residential World and Vacation

I guess we can make like an activity lot and make it seem like we are heading to the beach for the day for my sims that do not live there. I feel like every pack always has a missed opportunity. I hope the weather is very little rain with a lot of heatwaves.

Same. So much of the stuff in the trailer looked like typical vacation stuff, so it's weird to me that it wasn't designed to be a vacation world. At least we can pretend to be on vaycay, but I wish there was an option to use it as a vacation world.

If it was a vacation world then I don't think it'd be appealing for very long. I think a lot of the new features that this EP is going to introduce would be very difficult to include if it was only a vacation spot. You could always download a hotel from the gallery if you want to pretend your sim is on vacation.
