- I wish they could have made it both. That way we are bringing something new to the table, along with pleasing both sides!
- JeffersonColisi7 years agoNew SpectatorIf they had included resorts with it, we could use it for vacation. Until now, nothing about it.
I hope we get able to buy more than one residential lot with next update at least.
- annaliese397 years agoSeasoned AceI agree. I want my sims to holiday there rather than live. The option to do either for all worlds would be nice. We'll just have to wait and see what the future brings.
- Simmerville7 years agoLegendYou can probably build a vacation home or hostel etc on a community lot, then lock doors to others than your visiting sim. Should be possible to stay for a few days the least. The game might send some family members back home though, so it might work better for single sims, that are easier to control.
- lenorca7 years agoNew TravelerI use a lot of those tents that came with OR and go on vacation to different community lots that are not a vacation place perse :) It's pretty fun and usable, plan to do that also at IL.
- neylajc7 years agoSeasoned AceI agree but we don't know enough about it yet. It may ne possible to place rented lots like in Selvadorada, even if the world is livable
- paigeisin57 years agoSeasoned AceAnother Simmer just shared a way to own two lots in another thread. Without mods, by the way. Create a retail lot, even if it is a home, place a desk in a walled off basement area and place a cash register on the desk. Just make sure no one can get to it, and don't open the store/home for retail business. Purchase the 'retail lot' and there you go. Two homes you can own at the same time. I have done this with venues with items I don't really want in the main area. I hide everything in a basement the Sims can't get to, the requirements are met and my venue has only the items I feel the need to have.

 Yep. Every single one.

Sounds super smart! Thanks! But won't unplayed sims rush to that lot as customers, making the lot quite busy? I would imagine a generic community lot could also work, your sim would not own it but it could be equipped as a vacation home, and it would be less busy, no?
Edit: Ah, customer won't access a not-yet-open retail store :) Sorry, missed that...
- I would like all the worlds to have the option of being both a livable or vacation world. How this could work out is this: When you create a household and move them into a particular world that world becomes their home world. All other worlds are vacation worlds for that particular household only. So when they select to go on a vacation all other worlds except their home world can be chosen as an option. Sims should also have the option to visit any of these worlds without having to formally take a vacation.
Why I don't like the current system of vacation worlds is because they are made from a viewpoint of people who have grown up in big cities/American suburbs. I would like the option to play as a herbalist sim in granite falls, or a conservationist from sulani who goes on a vacation to San myshuno.
