They already have a history of making questionable decisions that end up costing them money. Adding advertisements to a game that people already paid for would be the exact kind of underhanded, reputation-damaging move that would add to that list and lose them customers in the long run.
Where people get these types of Ideas I don't know. If I brought a game with ads in it I would call it spyware. I would do more than boycott. I would go back to school and go get two year programming degree from a community college.
