Whenever I’m on the verge of quitting something, but I’m uncertain whether I should do it or not, I usually ask myself the following questions in no specific order:
- Is there is good chance that someone will die if I decide to quit?
- Is there a good chance that I will die before my time if, indeed, I quit?
- If I quit, is it going to be the absolute end of the world?
- If I were to quit, will I be losing out on a heap of money?
If the answer is NO to all the above, I will most likely quit.
If I feel like quitting something I do in my leisure time because I dislike it so much, I won’t even ask myself those questions. I will most definitely quit and move onto doing something else that keeps me happy.
